Faith-ann Young VP of Editorial Content

Faith-Ann Young, otherwise known by her initials "F.A.Y.," was born in Sydney, Australia and has lived in 7 cities before calling SF home.

Prior to joining Tennman Digital as VP of Editorial Content, Faith-Ann drove the editorial of the music site RCRD LBL (founded by Peter Rojas of Gizmodo and Engadget, and Josh Deutsch of Downtown Records) and served as New York Editor for Virgin Music's online site.

She began her music journalism career by roaming alleys and stages with her camera and notepad and blind-pitching editors. Since, her photos and writing have been published in The Economist?s More Intelligent Life, Dazed and Confused, Monocle Magazine, Blender Magazine, Fast Company, ?Sup Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, and Art Observed, amongst others.

Career highlights include interviewing musicians like R.E.M?s Michael Stipe, The Flaming Lip?s Wayne Coyne, Rage Against The Machines? Tom Morello, Death Cab For Cutie, and MGMT. The biggest rush thus far? Introducing Jane?s Addiction?s Perry Farrell to Lou Reed for the first time at SXSW 2007. Sparks flew.

What else? She's got a blue birth mark, double-jointed thumbs, an addiction to the ocean, and a knack for sprinting in heels. Despite being a new media editor, she breaks an exorbitant amount of cellphones each year.
